Viewing del.icio.us bookmarks filtered by multiple tags

OK, maybe I’m a little slow, but I finally just figured out how to view my del.icio.us bookmarks filtered by multiple tags. I hadn’t seen a way to do it by navigating from the del.icio.us web site (why, why, why?!?), though the del.icio.us Firefox extension lets you do it easily in the sidebar.

Anyway, in short, just separate multiple tags by the plus sign (“+”).  For example: http://del.icio.us/tichem/email+productivity will show you all my bookmarks tagged with both “email” and “productivity”.

Posting your Facebook status on Twitter

I could not for the life of me find an RSS feed anywhere in Facebook. So I did a Google search and found a page (that no longer exists but is now in Google cache) that mentions how to get your Facebook mini feed. The format of the mini-feed URL is:

http://facebook.com/minifeed.php?status&id=xxx

Where “xxx” is your Facebook ID (which you can get from the URL that appears when you look at your Facebook profile page).  I also found out how to browse to the same page:

  1. In Facebook, go to your Profile page
  2. In the Mini-Feed area, click “See All
  3. On the right side, click Status Stories

From this page, there is a link to an RSS feed called “My Status”. Grab the target URL from that link and add that as a feed in twitterfeed.

A link to “feeds” right from the Home and/or Profile pages in Facebook would be a bit easier.

Tumblr seems pretty cool, but...

I guess I don’t see the point. How is this better or different from a blog?  I dunno.  I’m trying different social technologies to what they offer and how they can be used, and/or used together. But I have not really found a use for Tumblr yet.

Whoa, first tumble

Whatever. Just needed to have something out here! No time to be too creative as I really need to get back to work.
